Im requesting to remove a tree from my property due to a letter i received from an attorney that represents our home owners association. The letter was in response to my request for the home owners association to include the repair of a raised sidewalk in front of my home (resulting from the roots of the tree) along with other repairs they were doing for similarly raised side walks in the neighborhood. These repairs are being done for safety reasons and when the work was nearing completion and it was apparent that the repair to the sidewalk on my property was excluded from being repaired with the rest, i became concerned. I appealed to the hoa for them to repair my sidewalk too, seeing that it is a hazard, and they responded with a letter from their attorney advising it is my responsibility to first remove the tree before they will complete the sidewalk repair.
