Install 4 inch brick veneer on new concrete footing in front of existing masonry wall as per 2009 irc 703. 7. Maximum height: feet above foundation. Maximum thickness 5 inches. New concrete footing to be below frost line, ( inches). New wall shall be anchored to supporting wall with corrosion-resistant metal ties 24 inches on center horizontally and vertically. Provide 1 inch air space between walls. Provide weep holes and flashing above window and door openings. Provide capping, flashing and caulking at termination of wall to prevent water infiltration. An inspection of existing wall to be scheduled with inspector before work starts. Wood lintels in existing wall to be replaced and inspected before new wall starts.
