Secure tampa theatre is initiating a couple of projects to improve visitor comfort and overall building infrastructure. The scope of this work will be covered in two separate permit sets. Scope included in these sets is detailed below: to address water infiltration caused primarily by high ground water levels found in this part of the city, tampa theatre currently utilizes multiple submerged well sump pumps that pump ground water to one of two lift stations that discharge the collected ground water to the municipal storm system. Although the system appears to perform satisfactorily, it is strained, beyond useful service life, and vulnerable to failure while not currently being supported by emergency power. Additionally, patch-work efforts have been made to minimize particularly troublesome water infiltration locations including the introduction of saw cuts into the floor slabs in these areas to promote positive flow of surface water to existing floor drains. Tampa theatre is initiating a couple of projects to improve visitor comfort and overall building infrastructure. The scope of this work will be covered in two separate permit sets. Scope included in these sets is detailed below: set a (this set): set a is focused on updating the user experience, enhancing visitor comfort and also improving the historic accuracy of the public face of the building in public lobby and audience chamber areas. Work scope includes: -theatrical seating replacement - note that seating will be by owner, but related infrastructure is included in this project -as part of the new seating replacement, additional wheelchair locations will be provided throughout the orchestra level, along with an ada-compliant cross-aisle -the front portion of orchestra-level seating will be removable to be able to set up that protion of the space events requiring non-traditional seating arrangements.
