Approval of historic resource review for exterior alterations to the building is historically known as the orient lodge i. O. O. F. #17, a primary contributing building in the east portland/grand avenue historic district that was constructed in 1907 in the arts and crafts style, and later known as the portland police athletic association building (ppaa), work to include the following: replacing four ground floor non-original storefront bays with new wood bi-fold window walls; creating an ada accessible entry at the se alder st main entry by removing the concrete steps, lowering the existing doors to grade, extending the wood side panels to grade, and adding one new transom window above the relocated doors; installing a new ada compliant recessed entry on se 6th ave; one new elevator overrun structure on the roof; reuse one existing, and install two new pieces of rooftop mechanical equipment.
