Alexander park is bisected by alexander street which is a one-way street. Both the north and south parks will be undergoing upgrades - chain link fence will be removed, some will be replaced (south side). Most of the existing play equipment will be removed replaced and new wood chips will be placed (south side). A concrete picnic area is being installed with tables, grill and new benches (south side). A basketball half-court will be installed with landscape screening (north side). Entry columns may be installed (bid-alternate) and landscape area, grass play domes are being installed and site seeding restoration (north & south sides). Curb bump outs will be installed at mid-section in the roadway as a means to slow traffic.
