Notice to proceed remove exterior formstone cladding and deteriorated stucco cladding from brick masonry substrate of the archbishops residence. Repair any deamages using gentlest means possible and repoint using replacement mortar that is compatible with the historic masonry and original mortar mix. Apply 3 coat stucco system and finish to complement existing basilica stone cladding with score joints based on historic stucco pattern. Applicant to prepare a sample stucco area for chap staff to review and replace with a steel decorative gate with attached solid steel panel. Install composite balustrade to match historic images. Install/reinstall downspouts and lighting features to match existing. Clean stone using gentlest means possible and appropriate masonry cleaning agents; patch and repair only as necessary. Strip and/or prep and paint exterior wood trim. Color to be submitted to chap staff for review and approval. All work to be completed as per plans in chap files.
