Remove existing 3/4 inch thick gypsum plaster from the vaulted gustavino dome of the south choir/organ gallery on the 2nd floor gallery level of the upper church and replace same with 3/4 inch thick portland cement plaster. All interior work. No mechanical, plumbing or electrical work.

Construct a scaffold platform on the south gallery level of the south choir/organ gallery

Construct an hdtv broadcast production room, two storage rooms and one storage closet in the receiving area of the crypt level of the basilica of the national shrine including mechanical and electrical work. All work is interior work.

Furnish and install new italian travertine marble wall cladding on the four existing brick arches of the basilicas crossing dome to match existing travertine marble wall cladding installed in the 1960s on the masonry piers of the crossing dome below the existing 39 inch high marble cornice which separates the brick arches from the piers below. The bottom and the top of the existing brick arches are 61 feet and 106 feet respectively above the floor of the church. All interior work. No permanent mechanical, plumbing or electrical work. The temporary scaffold structure constructed under scaffold permit no. Sc1600045 issued january 26, 2016 will be used to facilitate this work.

Construct the hungarian chapel on the crypt level on the east aisle near the east transept including all structural, mechanical and electrical work. All work is interior work.

Construct a temporary scaffold platform in the existing crossing dome of the upper church of the basilica for the purpose of removing existing all 3/4 inch thick gypsum plaster from the 4 vaulted guastavino tile pendentives, the ring and the spherical upper dome above including the sills, jambs and arched heads of the 36 existing stained glass windows and and re-plastering the guastavino tile surfaces with 3/4 inch thick portland cement plaster. All interior work. No permanent mechanical, plumbing or electrical work. Please note that the size of the crossing dome is 89 feet square and the height to the top of dome from the floor of the upper church is 159 feet.
