I was called by a. F. D on 1 8 15 for a sprinkler system break on the fourth floor of a apt complex. The area in which the break happened was over the common area ( rec room) for each floor only jeopardizing this area, the entrance off of ralph st is the main entrance lobby-main office area and every area above the lobby is common area fortunately not involving any living space. I spoke with the fire marshal and he was fine with a fire walk as long as they keep a journal of times floors walked, i also had him do a fire alarm test on the entire complex to be sure the system was still operating. I waited for the electrical contractor to show up due to many fixtures having water running through out of them, we did find the breakers to shut down the power to just these rooms and the contractor was beginning work immediately to drop fixtures and repair all damaged wiring fixtures. I have posted every door on every floor as to inform all residents to keep out of this area.
