I would like to place a 3ft wooden posts 6-8 ft apart along the grassed area between the road and sidewalk. The reasoning is to prevent cars mounting the curb and parking on the grass area. The continued parking on the grass area is tearing up the soil, compacting it so that grass cannot grow and is causing water to pool up after rain storms. My fear is that this will become a breeding ground for mosquitos. I would like to erect a barrier system that still allows cars to park along the street but to prevent them mounting the curb.
