Altenergy will be installing a 14. 57 kw solar pv system on the roof of the madison investments 5th street development, comprised of 47 axitec 310w polycrystalline pv modules. Modules are installed on the roof using the ecolibrium ecofoot 2+ ballasted racking system. Modules are wired directly to a dc optimizer mounted under each panel. Modules/optimizers are wired in series with 16 optimizers wired in two strings and 15 in the third string. The dc power from the optimizer strings will be combined on the roof and wired externally on the building in metallic conduit down to the inverter located inside next to the main electrical panel in the electrical room. The ac power from the inverter will be run to an ac disconnect outside next to the meter and then back into the main service panel to make a supply-side connection with ilsco insulated piercing taps.
