Replace existing damaged fireplace with a new firebox. Install per listing and manufactured instructions. 2. Repair existing firebox with a ul approved repair. A copy of the repair approval is required. The space between the firebox and brick shall be filled with a cement type seal. 3. Seal off fireplace opening so no fireplace will be used in the future. Remove firebox and infill this area and the space above to the bottom of the fireblocking with 2x4 studs spaced 18" on center. Insulate with r-15 insulation. Cover with 1 2" wallboard.
