I was called to the above locations friday evening 2/5 in response to residential structures above sinkholes. 225 is a modular double wide, divided as a duplex which is currently unoccupied. The front porch is sinking, the sidewalk from the parking area is undermined and the foundation of the double wide is seriously compromised by several small sinkholes around and under the structure. Zach and i attempted to contact the owner but his voice mailbox was full and his wifes number had been disconnected. We left him a text stating that we were disconnecting the utilities. Fm grover kent arrived on site and contacted duke and progress energy. Power and gas were cut off at the property edge, and the water was shut off at the meter. The owner of 221 was present, there is a deep sinkhole under her front porch. She has contacted a structural engineer and her insurance company and is not staying at the house, but has elected not to have the utilities disconnected.
