Approval of exterior alterations on a historic landmark in the east portland/ grand avenue historic district to include the installation of twelve rooftop hvac mechanical units. Approval of exterior alterations on the osborn hotel building, to include alterations to the north and east storefronts, as described below: removal of the existing, non-original wooden panels that are located where transoms would be historically located. Removal of non-original wood infill panels will also be removed from above a door and large window on the north elevation, to be replaced with glazing. Removal of the existing, non-original fabric awning and gooseneck light fixtures. Installation of transom windows, with painted wood frames and insulated glass, in a size and pattern that is consistent with this buildings streetcar-era storefronts. Installation of an additional piece of trim board is being added to the bulkhead (along the outside edge of the existing trim molding) in order to give this bulkhead more of a traditional paneled appearance (seen in the photo taken of the osborn hotel in 1965).
