Kids food basket is currently in the quiet phase of the feeding our future campaign, for which city commissioner joe jones and necaa board president betsy hernandez are are campaign cabinet members. We have secured the purchase of the 14 acres of farmland at 1919 leonard st. Ne as our future home and farm operation. On september 7, we will publicly announce the campaign to the media with a morning event at our farm. Our up to 2 guests will include campaign donors, some long-time supporters, school and city representatives, and kfb staff. We will provide a tent, a light app style brunch, and an exciting announcement. The entire event will only run about 1 hour. The oakhill evangelical presbyterian church, lake michigan credit union, and the yankee clipper library have all generously granted us use of their parking lots that day. Staff will be stationed in each parking lot to greet and guide guests. There will be absolutely no j-walking at this event. If granted by the city, we will also
