The preliminary plan review for this project had accepted the use of fire sprinklers to provide a fire separation at existing historic windows in the brick walls adjacent to a new exterior egress stair. While the permitted drawings generically call for fire separation to be provided at these window openings, the revised life safety and fire sprinkler drawings clarify the original design intent.
