This temporary use request is to allow for stocking, staffing, training, and sales to utilize the discovery village at tampa palms facility. This plan has been discussed and reviewed with the city of tampa and construction services department as well as the local fire marshal. This approval will allow for staff training and furniture to be moved into the building in preparation for ahca licensing. No residents will be allowed to move into the building until after a certificate of occupancy and an ahca license has been issued for the facility.

This temporary use request is to allow for the sales and administration staff to move from the temporary sales trailer into the administration area of the discovery village at tampa palms facility. This plan has been discussed with the city of tampa construction services department officials as well as the local fire marshal. The sales and administration staff will occupy approximately 5 offices in a completed areas of the building. All parking and life safety requirements for this area will be provided as required for the safe occupancy of the staff and future residents visiting to sign leases. This will request will allow the construction team to remove the temporary sales trailer which will allow for the remainder of the site work and construction activities to be completed in preparation for a temporary certificate of occupancy.

This request for a temporary certificate of occupancy (tco) will allow for the facility to move forward with final operational fire inspections, department of health inspections, and ahca licensing review while the pool is being completed at the discovery village at tampa palms facility. The state of florida does not allow the facility to be occupied with residents until the ahca senior living license is issued, which cannot be issued until after a final certificate of occupancy is obtained from the city of tampa. This tco will allow for all ahca licensing steps to be completed, with the exception of the issuance of the ahca license.
