Private property tree removal permit

Complaint recd: ca ok the backyard (downhill slope) is retained by a tiered rockery walls. The western portion of the upper tier is higher than 4 feet. The lower tier is no higher than 2 feet. 1993 engineering report says there is movement of soil, slope needs to be stabilized, retaining wall is failing. A small section in the middle of the wall failed several times during the winter (2013). According to the adjacent property owner (magdalena petryniak, 1716 sw westwood dr), failed soil breached the wall and carried rocks down a few feet beyond the property line and into petryniaks backyard. The wall was temporarily fixed by re-stacking the rocks back and placing soil behind. Overall the retaining wall does not appear to be adequate to retain the slope and the current conditions are unsafe. Call com for access and more info.
