Replace termite damaged sidingoverview:due to significant formosan termite damage, we are seeking a permit to remove the wood siding on a portion of the uptown side of the building only, and replace it with smooth hardie siding of a consistent size. History:the building sits on the property line, and the neighbor has a fence directly against the building. This prevents maintenance below the fence line, and also prevented prevents proper termite treatment. The building was entirely renovated around 2007, and the developer sheathed the building in plywood and tyvek house-wrap. New cypress siding was then added, and it is rapidly deteriorating. Multiple infestations of termites have been treated from interior spaces over the past several years, but the source of the problem, and the damage to the exterior of the building, have not been addressed. Scope of work:we are very close to an agreement where the neighbor will allow temporary remove of the fence, make needed repairs to the building

Removal of exterior paint providing containment or using approved hepa filtered vacuum system

We need to replace 16 windows with double hung sash kits, the old window sash are rotten and ready to fall out. They are all wood, and will arrived primed and ready for paint to match the interior and exterior. They would be 6 over 6 lite design to match the existing, with interior and exterior muntins, along with shadow bars between the glass to most closely simulate a single pane of glass. I chose the clear glass option with minimal "low e" value to to try to avoid the green hue on the glass.
