We were doing a complete renovation on this property which included replacement of all windows, exterior walls, balconies and walkways. We were working with the hdlc at the time. We were told the railings on the walkways were not exactly correct and although we would not have to rebuild them, we would have to build gates on each side of the property that would hide them from view. A picture was sent showing exactly how to build the gates, and they were built to those specifications. This was all done while we had a permit and certificates of appropriateness for all the work we were doing on the exterior of the house. Work was completed over a year ago and photos were sent to and approved of by the hdlc. We went through an inspection by the city and were issued a certificate of occupancy on 12/11/12 stating that the structure was in compliance with the applicable provisions of the new orleans building code and zoning laws. I believe the permit number was 12-32969-cotm. Date: March 29, 2014 Value: $300Permit type: Accessory structure | Permit status: Application submitted | Current use: Single family | Permit id: 14-09877-Accs | |||||
