Three of the borings will be completed as temporary piezometers using 1-inch diameter pvc pipe. Borings/temporary piezometers will be open no longer than 24 hours and will be abandoned on the same day as drilling by tremi-grouting, using a 2 pounds bentonite to 1 gallon of water slurry, per doee regulations. Idw will be properly managed.

Gsi plans to drill 3 soil test borings to confirm soil strength with a hollow-stem auger equipped with a split spoon sampler for the spt n-value tests down to a maximum depth of 65 feet below existing grades. All borings will be drilled to the maximum depth or auger refusal whichever occurs first. The boreholes dimension will be 3. 25 inches and shall be grouted upon completion. See attached work plan.
