I want to install a gate on the front porch to replace the one i removed at your instruction. I have pets and need this gate to protect them from running out of the house when i open the door and into the street. I recently installed the handrail you approved and it looks really nice. A picture is attached. I would like to make the gate an iron gate similar to the one i am attaching from the man that installed my handrail. If you have something else that you have specs for then i will do that. Just have to protect my dogs from getting run over in the street. Thank you, wayne chambless

To bring building into compliance with hdlc requirements:1. Remove small canopy sturcture from right side of porch2. Remove small square pilasters above brick piers and reconstuct the arched beam across the front porch3. Remove the two square columns above the short brick pilasters beside the front steps4. Remove the newel posts and gate at the porch level5. Have a contractor raise the 2nd story porch about 3 inches to level the porch from it falling due to rot on the support beams. (this since he will be reconstructing the arched and beams supporting the porch).

I had a permit issued on november 27, 2015 to repair the porch on my property while i was working on other problems with the property. Permit no. 15-10848-rnvs. I have not been financially able to get the work done until now. I am requesting that the city reissue that permit so that i can begin working on these repairs next monday april 10, 2017. The repairs should be done in 6 days or less. Thank you, wayne chambless

Extension of permiit no. 15-10848-rnvs to continue porch repairs.

Need a permit to paint the left side of my house that is within inches of my neighbors property line. I need to paint the siding and woodwork and possibly replace some of the rotted wood while there. My neighbor, ms. Constance brown, 1311 henreitte delille st, 70116, will not allow me access to that side of my house for painting or repairs. So i need the city to give me some type of document that would compel her to allow access for at least 5 days.
