Section 11-19-7f of the mesa zoning code states a use permit is required for the display of banners and non-ridgid signs. This would include, but is not limited to: canvas signs, banners, advertising flags, pennants, streamers, garlands, whirly-gigs and similar devices. This permit is valid only for the initial opening of: canna-releaf (x) new business ( ) new occupancy ( ) new proprietor or management this use permit is valid for a maximum period of thirty (30) consecutive days from the date of issuance. Banner permits are a one time issuance and cannot be renewed or extended.
