We will perform a total of 15 soil borings on the porposed site. Specifically, 5 geotechnical soil borings will be advanced to a depth of 1 feet, and will be drilled utilizing 3. 5inch hollow stem, continous flight augers (the geotechnical boring will generate an approximate 6-inch annulus). Additionally, environmental borings will be advanced using a geoprobe drill rig to install two inch diameter temporary groundwater monitoring points in shallow groundwater (no permanent wells will be installed in the borings). Soil samples will be collected, field screened, and submitted for laboratory analysis during performance of the environmental borings. Following exploration, the boring will be backfilled with bentonite slurry from the bottom of the borehole to the ground surface.
