Ddoe is installing a stormwater conveyance system within the row that is being managed as parkland at the end of linnean ave nw, where it dead ends into soapstone valley park. The restoration work will consist of providing stable conveyance and water quailty treatment of an unstable gully located at the storm drain outfall. This involves the creation of approximately 2 linear feet of channel, using the regenerative stormwater conveyance appoarch, which includes a series of rock structures and pools with an underlying sand seam. Native vegetation along the proposed channel will provide additional stability and habitat improvements. This project will have beneficial impacts to habitat and water quality.
