Dccr proposes to drill six monitoring wells and four geotechnical wells(prc-05 - prc-14) located in the green space south of 27 f st nw north of i-66 over rock creek parkway. The borings will be 6 inches in diameter and range between 35 and 175 feet bgs drilled by mud rotary methods. Permanent casing will be installed to top of rock and grouted before continued drilling. A monitoring well will be installed in borings prc-05 through prc-10. The four geotechnical borings will be abandoned after 24 hours see idw management plan and attached schematics for additional information. All drilling generated waste will be drummed (solids and liquids). The well shall be covered and protected from surface water drainage and the vertical migration of contaminants and other materials through the well casing and well annulus. Each well shall be developed prior to monitoring for water levels.

A hollow stem auger will install 8 temporary dewatering wells by advancing a 18 inch outer diameter, 12 1/4 inch inner diameter bore hole to a depth of 25 feet. At depth, a 6 inch pvc flush joint well assembly will be set and select filter placed. Into each well will be installed a 5 hp submersible pump. Effluent will be directed through a common manifold to a baffled settling tank and discharged per temporary discharge authorization permit 1114-1030
