Dc clean rivers (dccr) proposes to drill up to two (2) geotechnical borings (art,art-2) located alondg anacostia drive immediatyely northeast of the 11th street bridge overpass. The borings. Will be 6 inches in diameter and approximately 75 feet in depth,drilled by hollow-stem auger and mud rotary methods. Temporary surface casing will be set before proceeding with drilling. All drilling generated waste will be drummed (solids and liquids), tested and shipped offsite for disposal. If the borehole is not completed in one day ,sandbags and plastic sheetings will be used to protect and coveer the borehole from surface water drainage and the vertical migration of contaminants and other materials through the borehole. Down hole drilling equipment will be decontaminted prior to drilling,between boreholes and anytime equipment is taken off site.
