Dccr project proceses two geotechnical borings (nebpi-1 and nebpi-2). Located in the chruch parking lot, west of 1901 ist street nw. The borings will be completed using stem auger techniques. The borings will be 8 inches in diameter and extend feet below ground surface. The boring will be grouted upon completion with a cement-bentonite grout (60% bentonte: 40% cement) monitoring wells or instrumentation will not be installed.

The borings will be completed using direct push (d-p) and vacuum extraction (vac) techniques. The d-p borings will be 2 inches in diameter and extend feet below ground surface. The d-p borings will be backfilled with hydrated bentonite powder (2lbs bentonite 1 gallon water). The bac borings will be 12 inches diameter and feet deep and will be backfilled with hydrated bentonite chips (12. 5lbs bentonite 1 gal water) monitoring wells or instrumentation will not be installed.

A geoprobe -r- will be used to drill 26 borings -depths of 15 ft- to collect current soil analytical data to assess the extent of environmental impacts. The diameter of the soil borings will be three inches. Soil borings will be back-fill with bentonite cement grout -2 percent to 98 percent type iii portland cement - dry-. Water ratio in accordance with dc well construction requirements. All work will be conducted under ddoe regulation, as per site plans, work plan report and ddoe dc well construction and schematic forms. Work will take place in-between r and s street sw.

Dc water will replace the existing 8 and 12-inch cast iron water in the bloomingdale area as part of its capital improvement program. To improve water quality and system reliability, increase water pressure , and maintain adequate flows thru systems. 1st st nw between rhode island ave nw & channing st nw. On v st nw between flager pl nw & 2nd st nw. On adams st nw between flager pl nw & 2nd st nw & on channing st nw from 1st st nw to the alley on channing st nw. 35 ft of 8" water main, 11 ft of 12" water main, replacement of service lines, fire hydrants & valves.
