SCORE 56 Salt Lake City Ut 84103 This is a request for a certificate of appropriateness (coa) to restore, and repair as necessary, the existing wood lap siding on the rear of the subject home. The subject siding is located on an historic rear addition on the north, east, and west facades. Photos of the facades to be restored and repair are attached. The applicant proposes to scrape and sand the existing wood siding, insert new matching wood siding where existing siding is non-existent, and caulk areas that need to be sealed. The siding used to repair the facades will be a matching 7-7 8 cedar lap siding; the same dimensions as the existing siding. Once the siding has been prepared for painting and repaired where necessary, the facades will be painted to give a uniform and seamless appearance. This coa does not authorize the removal of any of the original lap siding on any faade of the addition.
