Approval to: 1. Replace and repaint about a 15 section of handrail pipe that is broken and missing. The material will be steel rod, the same material as the original handrail pipe. 2. Cover the upper catwalk floor deck with new steel plate floor. The new floor will not have the rivets characteristic of the original floor, however, since the original floor will remain below the new flooring the rivets will be seen from below as people walk to the catwalk. 3. Reinforce the exterior channels that support the catwalk flooring with similar steel channel material. Approval for changes inside the water tower: 1. Extend the handrail, approximately 1 feet on each side of the walkway, and cover it with steel mesh on the entrance to the water tower top interior landing. 2. Install a new short steel bar ladder and wood door to limit public access to a maintenance room area. 3. Remove a small interior equipment platform that is no longer functional and is not original to the water tower.
