SCORE 61 1411 K Street Nw Washington Dc Excavation and removal of one 6,000-gallon heating oil underground storage tank located within a vault outside the building beneath the k street nw sidewalk. Contractor will break up existing sidewalk that overlays the vault. Area will not exceed 16 feet by 11 feet. The contents of the 6,000-gallon heating oil tank shall be pumped out via a vacuum truck. The 6,000-gallon heating oil tank will be cut open and cleaned, then loaded onto a flatbed truck for off-site removal as scrap. The vault that housed the ust will then be abandoned. The concrete bottom of the vault shall be broken up and the excavation shall be backfilled with rc-6 or cr-6 or equivalent stone to existing bottom of sidewalk grade (area depicted in figure 5). The sidewalk shall be restored to its original condition (figures 4a and 4b). Note, doee may require collection of soil samples from the soil beneath the vault bottom.
