Ddoe is installing a stormwater conveyance system on an unnamed stream in alger park in se dc. The restoration work will consist of providing stable conveyance of an unstable stream channel in alger park. We are applying for a permit from ddot to install two curb cuts to capture stormwater coming off adjacent roadways, and allow small, frequent storm flows to enter the restored stream valley at the highest point in the drainage. Curb cut 1 is located on the west side of 31st st se, prior to the existing storm drain inlet at the corner of 31st st and w st se. It receives 0. 6 acres of drainage from 31st st, mostly from the impervious roadway surface. Curb cut 2 is located on the north side of w st se prior to the intersection with hillcrest dr se. It receives 3. 3 acres of drainage from a portion of 31st st and w st as well most of the intersection of w st and hillcrest dr. The curb cut openings are 3-4 and are detailed in the plans.
