This project is a landscape renovation which involves primarily new plant installation with minor patio improvements. A substantial amount of existing landscape trees and shrubs are preserved. Existing shrubs and several small trees are removed in areas where the existing plants are in poor health or do not enhance the aesthetics and function of the landscape. New plants are installed per new design to fill in the landscape. All disturbed landscape beds will be mulched with minimum 2-inch layer of shredded hardwood mulch. An existing patio in the south-east corner of the property is removed and converted into a lawn. An existing gravel sitting area is converted into a stone patio. There is no net increase in hard surface. All disturbed areas will be enveloped in super silt fence and stabilized quickly. Soils are moderately acidic loam according to the usda soil maps. Contractor will keep all work within the limits of the super silt fence to minimize disturbance.
