I understnad that the city will plant a replacement tree but i am not interested in a sapling (2" diameter). I would like premission to plant a tree that i purchase. I expect the tree will be approx 15- in height and it will be a hardwood, either oak or maple, depending on availability. I would also consideer any suggestions the city may have. I would like to plant the tree this fall if possible.
