This is a request for a certificate of appropriateness (coa) to replace all of the elements (door, side-lights, transom, and casing) of the front entryway on the subject home. Plans and photos of the entryway are attached. The applicant is proposing a custom milled wood (poplar) and glass entryway, consisting of a four- paneled door (detail photos attached), paneled and glass side-lights, and a glass transom. The attached drawing shows the style and configuration of the entryway elements. The casing around all of the elements is also of wood with a width of 2 1 2 and a depth of 1 1 8. The casing will be milled to be multi-leveled (as opposed to flat and rectangular example photo attached) to add architectural interest as shown in the attached photo.
