The dc water sdwmr 12c project will improve water quality issues in the brightwood & takoma neighborhoods. This project rehabilitates approximately 1. 7 miles of selected 8-inch and 12-inch water mains by cleaning and cement mortar lining. The project consists of installation of temporary water supply, valve replacement, hydrant replacement, excavation of access pits, cleaning pipes of tuberculation and debris, internal cctv inspection, placement of cement mortar lining, disinfection, returning service back to permanent mains, and restoration of the disturbed areas.
