A total of five 6-inch diameter soil test borings will be drilled using 3. 25-inch continuous hollow stem flight augers. The borings will extend to a maximum depth of 15 feet below current site grades using a truck- or atv-mounted drill rig. The samples will be containerized in glass jars for geotechnical classification and laboratory testing. To prevent contamination of the boring between soil strata, the drilling rods will be decontaminated using a steam cleaner or an alconox solution prior to commencing drilling of each boring. The boreholes will be grouted with bentonite slurry 2 lbs of bentonite to 1 gallon of water and the auger cuttings and all other investigation derived waste idw will be containerized in sealed drums per ddoe permit. No temporary or permanent monitoring well will be installed.
