Existing structure is a vacant five story building w basement. Existing exterior envelope is composed of structural masonry. Scope of work shall be to provide the foundation to grade to adaptively reuse the existing building as an emergency shelter and construct a new addition at the rear of the building. Existing locations of vertical circulation are to remain. Alteration on the existing structure includes exterior window removal for replacement, selective demolition of masonry for new windows, doors and enlarged window openings. All mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems will be removed for full upgrade.

Site demolition and interior demolition complete gut, of an existing 5 story plus basement building. .

Install new window and window framing, install new panel and panel framing. New construction consists of 18 guage spandel mounted on 3-5/8 steel studs from header to sill. Studs to be attached by 16 guage 6 3x3 angle bolted to existing steel floor asembly. Window openings are to be wrapped with 3/4 fire rated plywood wrapped with deng glass sheating. North and south facades are un-fenestrated brick to remain as is.
