Installation of exterior stairs for 2nd means of egress from 2nd floor. Minor alteration for core and shell preparations of building.

One exploratory boring will be advanced to a depth of 25 feet. No wells are being installed and boreholes will be backfilled with a bentonite/water mixture, 2lb bentonite per 1 gallon water, immediately after the boring is completed. Spoils will be sealed in barrels and bulk samples will be collected and sent to a laboratory for environmental classification. Once the results are available, the drums will be hauled off site to a proper disposal facility. Two test pits will be installed, with approximate measurements of 3 feet wide, 3 feet long and approximately 4 feet in depth. Following the excavation of the test pits, psi will use a hand auger and dynamic cone penetrometer to sample and test the soil below the bottom of each test pit up to feet or refusal, whichever is shallower. Upon completion, psi will backfill the test pits using compaction and will repair the slab using concrete.
