Removal of exterior ceramic soffit tile originally installed in 1971. Soffit extends over the 9th street sw expressway and as tiles delaminate and fall they create a hazardous condition for the cars and pedestrians below.

This alterations permit package includes all drawings associated with the partial renovation of the existing lenfant plaza paving surface and associated surface features. Includes the removal of existing pavers and fill to accommodate the revised landscape design. Existing structure of plaza will remain. Compacted fill will be replaced with lightweight built-up insulation, concrete slab and new concrete paving surface. Vegetative plant boxes, bollards, and landscape lighting are included in the renovation.

Precast panel erection at the ground floor will need to be completed during second shift due to the ongoing concrete operations. Both of these will require the use of the tower crane. The work is scheduled to take 3 or 4 weeks. Work is associated to construction under building permit b1610671.

First six month extension of d1200623 to set new expiration date to 12/18/2013

Second six month of extension period for demolition permit d1200623. Permit extension approval to expire on 6/17/2014.

Third and final 6 month extension of d1200623 changing the expiration date to 12/16/2014.
