As part of its capital improvement program, dc water will be performing replacement of existing water main and fire hydrant in the forest hills neighborhood of the district (small diameter water main replacement 12b-5). These efforts will help improve water quality and system reliability, increase water pressure in some areas, and maintain adequate flows throughout the system. Work will occur on 29th street nw between albemarle street and audubon terrace nw. This project involves replacement of linear feet of new 6-inch mains and 1418 linear feet of new 8-inch mains throughout the project area. Additionally, this project involves replacement of all hydrants and valves within the project limits.
