Dccr proposes one geotechnical boring (nebbc-31) located in the right lane of southbound s street nw, across from 231 s street nw. The boring will be 6 inches diameter and 1 feet deep. A monitoring well will be installed at feet below ground surface. A vibrating wire piezometer will be installed at approximately feet below ground surface. A permanent steel casing will be installed and socketed into the potomac clays. The greater than screened interval will allow for greater draw down in the event of pump test. The well will not extend into the patxuent formation and no cross contamination will occur. Well development will be by air-lift and surge-block methods. Development water will be drummed for appropriate off-site disposal.
