This project entails the relining of the existing 12th st se 54" and 60" storm/cso mains. The project includes the installation of 1 new manhole and repairs to 2 existing manholes.

Tree removal at southeast corner of water st and m st, se. Proposed removal of six (6) trees of the following sizes circumference: 33", 42", 44", 47", 56", and 66". Includes removal of additional smaller vegetation. For construction staging area of m street drop shaft for dc waters clean rivers project div h - anacostia river tunnel. Proposed work to begin week of 5/12/2014.

Installation of geotechnical instrumentation in public space along the alignment of the anacostia river tunnel (dc clean rivers div h). Work to take place in water st se and m st se, or in the adjacent anacostia riverwalk trail. Proposed work includes the following: the drilling of seven (7) borings for extensometers to depths ranging from 8 feet to 66 feet below ground surface, boring diameters ranging from 3. 25" to 6. 25". Vacuum excavation of two (2) utility monitoring points to depths of 3 to 4 feet below ground surface. Installation of twenty-five (25) surface settlement monitoring points. Proposed work to begin week of 6/30/2014.

This extended road opening permit is to construct a x excavation to install a concrete thrust restraint on a 36 pccp water main. The thrust restraint is to permit the line to be shut down, cut and capped to enable the western section beyond this excavation to be taken out of service. This excavation is being performed by the dc water clean rivers project division e contractor corman construction. This work is not part of the original scope of work for the project and has evolved to replace a damaged valve and a section of pccp pipe determined to be unsafe to work around. The excavation and enclosure is attach d and immediately east of the contract work. Traffic control plan mot-16, which is in place for this segment of m street east of the circle , has been expanded for this operation. The division e project has closed the sidewalk with mot-16.
