Deck will be alongside outer house wall, but will not be attaching to the house, it will be free standing with the entrance to the door of the side of the house being level with the deck flooring. This is how the current deck is now. It will be secured by concrete post foundations. Pressure treated beams will attach to the posts via lag bolts. Joists will run across beam deck frames and be screwed into place with galvanized joist hangers. Redwood decking will be screwed into joists.
