Install lateral knee braces using 4x4 diagonal braces bolted at each end with 5/8" hot-dipped galvanized bolts. Add dropped double 2x8 beams at midspan of 2x6 floor joists to reduce the span of the joists. Construct guardrails around the perimeter of the deck and adjust height to provide a minimum barrier height of 4-feet around the pool area.
