SCORE 59 Contractor will supply all tools, labor and materials to repoint the joints between the brownstone on the front facade. Method will include removing mortar to depth 2 times the width of joints. Hand tools will be used for final removal and power tools will be limited to grinders at horizontal joints where appropriate depending on the width of the joint only and for the sole purpose of scoring the center of the joint only. Mortar used to repoint will be mixed to math color, dimension and profile of the original joint and will be formulated to the strength of type n 7 psi or type o 3 psi with a very limited amount of portland cement and less than 0. Percent alkali to avoid efflorescence. No masonry cement or preblended mortars will be used to complete repairs and joint grade will be restored to the original level.
