Ill be tearing off existing shingles, paper, and flashing down to the sheeting and pulling existing staples. Existing vent pipe boots will also be removed. I plan on using ridge vent so ill cut sheeting out 2inches down on either side of the ridge. The skylight will be removed and replaced as well. Ill start shingling with a row of starter shingles and i figured 21 square of architectural shingles that will be installed with coil roofing nails.
