Remove 3 nonhistoric posts supporting the front porch, and replace with two architecturally historic 12 inch diameter columns. Reroute the rain spout through one column and into the drain, as was when the house was originally built in 1913. In order to ensure supporting load across the porch from one column to the other, a new supportive beam will be put in place, so some ceiling work will be required. This work was specified and approved in a previous building permit # b119826 for restoration of the entire house in 2008 to 2009.
