Proposed work will improve access and safety at the blue plains wastewater treatment plant. Security access staging is to be moved inside the plant thereby precluding vehicles from backing up into overlook avenue traffic area. Improvements include a new northbound travel lane on overlook avenue. The existing guard house and the concrete island on which it sits, as well as a small parking area, are to be converted into a new grass island. New traffic signnalizationis proposed to accmmodate the revised traffic pattern. Drainage will be achieved via curb flumes. Stormwater management of roadway runoff to be achieved via infiltration trench.
