1.) demolition and removal of chimney from rooftop down to 1st floor ceiling level. Chimney is self-supporting and not attached to any bearing elements. It is not currently being used in any fashion and is not tied in to any venting system. The chimney runs up through the peak of the roof and is approximately 6 feet back from the gable wall on the west side of the house (left when facing the house from the road). The chimney currently runs through a closet on the 3rd floor and a bathroom on the 2nd. 2. ) repair of roof section left by chimney hole, including framing, sheathing, underlayment, and asphalt shingles. 3. ) removal of surrounding wall or walls of chimney on 3rd floor necessary to expand closet (walls are not bearing).
